Some tips, suggestions, and a couple requests:

⥤ It is always good to eat a full meal before being tattooed to keep your blood sugar level up and steady.
⥤ Bring along snacks and treats for yourself.
⥤ Hydrate, but not overly so as to avoid multiple trips to the restroom.
⥤ Prioritize sleep the night or two before your tattoo sessions- this will improve your overall experience while being tattooed
⥤ Wear comfortable, cozy, and loose clothing to your tattoo session(s). Be mindful of where we’ll be working and dress accordingly. Clothing that is near where we’ll be working may become soiled with ink, blood, and petroleum jelly. I will do my best to avoid this and it will help me greatly if the garments themselves are easily kept away from the work area.
⥤ Please refrain from any and all unnecessary cell phone use while we are actively tattooing. It may appear as though you are keeping still while using a handheld device, but that is not the case. Staying as still as possible- including using your hands to operate a device and/or gesturing while talking causes the whole body to move. This makes creating accurate, speedy, and efficient tattoos next to impossible without increasing the amount of time required to do so. In the end, it will cost you more in money and can decrease the quality of work to use a handheld device during the tattoo process. So, while you may feel bored at times, please be mindful of keeping still. Feel free to listen to a podcast, audio book, or your own music on headphones.
⥤ My studio is small and cannot accommodate extra people in the work area. I am easily distracted which is another reason why I need the workspace to be uncluttered, energetically speaking. I do my very best to create a safe, trusting, communicative, and open work environment between myself and my clients and find that they also benefit from little to no distractions. If your preference is to have a guest accompany you to your tattoo appointment they are welcome to wait in my waiting area or in the common area on the 3rd floor.
