100% Japanese cotton hankies- hand cut, sewn, and printed in the US.
Measurements: 22"x22"
Notes: these hankies were hand printed using a process called discharge printing. Discharge printing typically discharges, or removes, the dye from the fabric rather than printing ink onto the fabric. However, these hankies were printed with a white pigment added to the discharge ink to brighten up the side that was printed. The printing has very minimal hand-feel and will continue to soften as the hanky is used and washed.
Use your hankies for:
face covering, scarf, head/hair wrap, cuff, burp cloth, tourniquet, flag, cold/hot compress, tea strainer, napkin, placemat, washcloth, towel, blindfold, apron, towel, gift wrap, forage bundler, butt wipe, hat band, headband, blood rag, table/altar cloth, snot rag, neck cooler...so many decorative and practical uses for a hankie...!
Here are my best descriptions of the colors:
Red: a rust or brick red color- slight lean towards orange.
Blue: a medium denim or soft indigo blue.
Yellow: ochre or mustard- slight lean towards brown/green
Pink: very soft pink with a touch of beige...cloudy sandy pink?
Green: kind of a deep emerald or forest green- more blue than yellow
Black: its just black...not sure yet how this will lean when it fades
Hand printed 100% Japanese Cotton Handkerchief
Care and use:
100% Japanese cotton, machine wash and dry, will soften with use and washing. Prewashed and preshrunk- the more you launder these hankies, the softer they will become. Wash and dry on all temperatures. Do not bleach.
